The Instant Pot Pro and the Instant Pot Duo Evo Plus are actually almost the same. The biggest differences are mainly cosmetic.

- The new black housing color of the Instant Pot Pro.
- The instant Pot Pro can preheat 20% faster on average.
- The Instant Pot Pro has 5 convenient programmable presets.
- A handy reminder (5 to 10 minutes) to open the valve after cooking time (Quick Release). This prevents you from accidentally losing the pressure completely via Natural Release (without ventilation). This is disadvantageous for some preparations.
- The letters on the instant Pot Pro are a bit smaller (important for people with reduced vision).
- The Instant Pot Pro series has extra internal insulation around the cooking area, making the machines more energy-efficient.
