Citrus Salmon

Citrus salmon is a delicious culinary creation that combines the taste of salmon fillet with the refreshing notes of citrus fruits. This tasty and healthy air fryer preparation takes an ordinary piece of salmon to a higher level by adding the bright, fruity flavors of the citrus fruits. The result is a perfectly balanced dish that is both light and satisfying.

Servings: 4-5 pers
Total preparation time: < 20 min

Ingredients:

- 750 g salmon fillet

- Thumb size (8 g) piece of fresh ginger, peeled

- 1 clove of garlic

- 40 g butter, softened

- 1 tablespoon Sriracha

- 1 lemon

- 1 orange

Preparation method:

ht:400" > 1. Add the butter to a bowl. Grate the garlic and peeled ginger and add the sriracha. Add the zest of the orange and the lemon. Mix the butter well and season with a pinch of salt and pepper.

2. Preheat the air fryer. Close the basket, select the grill setting, set the temperature to 205°C and the time to 8 minutes.

3. While the air fryer is preheating, cut the orange into slices. Once the air fryer is hot, add the orange slices to the basket. Place the salmon on top and spread the butter over the salmon. Place the basket in the air fryer and grill. After 8 minutes, the salmon is still a little underdone in the center and flaky on the outside. If you prefer it fully cooked, let it sit for 2 minutes longer.

4. Time may vary slightly depending on the thickness of your salmon steak. Adjust the timing to your liking.

5. Once the salmon is ready, remove it from the air fryer and serve with the remaining lemon, cut into wedges, and your favorite side dishes such as:

Option 1: Brown rice and a simple cucumber salad seasoned with salt and Lee Kum Kee chili oil or Lao Gan Mar chili crisp for a simple yet fresh addition to your salmon.

Option 2: Boiled new potatoes with herb-garlic butter and steamed broccoli.
