Simple Basmati Rice 

Good rice can make or break you dish. It does not matter if you are serving curry, a stir-fry or use the rice for a fried rice dish; perfectly cooked rice will make a difference. This simple recipe will help you cook 6 portions of perfect basmati rice in under 15 minutes. Get your Instant Pot Multi Cooker ready and let's get started. 


  • 2 cups of white basmati rice, rinsed
  • 3 cups of water

Preparation method

  1. Combine the rice and water in the inner pot.

  2. Lock the lid into place. Select Pressure Cook on High and set the time to 8 minutes. After cooking, quick release the pressure.

  3. Unlock and remove the lid. Serve the rice immediately, or place it in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
