Ingredients:

  • 110 g butter, melted
  • 90 g librown sugar
  • 50 g white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon horlicks or malted milk powder
  • 150 g flour
  • 110 g chocolate pieces
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon of salt

Inst ructions:

  1. Line a 23 x 18 centimeter baking tray (or a suitable baking tray for your air fryer) with baking paper and set it aside.
  2. Beat the melted butter and sugar together in a bowl until smooth.
  3. Add the egg, vanilla extract and the Horlicks/malt milk powder to the butter-sugar mixture and beat until the mixture becomes light in colour. span>
  4. Gently fold the flour, chocolate chips, baking powder and salt into the mixture until no flour streaks are visible. Be careful not to mix too much.
  5. Press the cookie dough evenly onto the lined baking sheet.
  6. Bake in the air fryer at 160 degrees Celsius for 22 minutes. You want the cookies to be slightly underbaked for a chewy texture, as they will continue to cook as they cool.
  7. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet, then turn them over and cut them into squares.
  8. You can store the cookies in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
