Sausage Egg & Cheese Bagel

Today we’re making the Airfryer Sausage, Egg & Cheese Bagel. This delicious dish is ready in just 15 minutes and will brighten your day instantly.

Ingredients

  • 2 bagels
  • 2 burgers (sausage patties or beef burgers)
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, diced
  • Grated cheese or cheddar
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Slice the bagels in half.
  2. Place the burgers in the air fryer and cook at 190 °C for 8–10 minutes, until cooked through. Remove and keep warm.
  3. Place a sheet of (perforated) baking paper or a reusable air fryer mat in the basket and place the sliced bagels inside, cut side up.
  4. Choose your egg method:
    • Egg-in-a-hole: Crack one egg into each bagel hole. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and some cheese.
    • Scrambled eggs: Beat 2–3 eggs with salt and pepper. Mix in the onion and bell pepper, then scoop into a heatproof ramekin (or onto a piece of raised baking paper). Top with cheese.
  5. Air fry at 160 °C for 6–8 minutes, until the egg whites are just set (or the scrambled eggs are cooked through) and the cheese has melted.
  6. Assemble: place a burger on the bottom half of each bagel, then add the egg (egg-in-a-hole or scrambled), extra cheese if desired, and close with the top half of the bagel.
  7. Serve immediately. Enjoy!

Tip: For extra heat, drizzle some sriracha or hot honey over the egg before serving.
