Piri Piri shrimp orzo

This quick and easy Instant Pot recipe combines spicy Piri Piri seasoning, juicy shrimp, and creamy orzo for a delicious dish you'll want to eat more of. Ingredients:

  • 400g orzo
  • 1 ½ tablespoons of Piri Piri seasoning
  • 250 ml of water
  • Parsley 10 g
  • yle-type:disc"> 400 g Pasta sauce with tomatoes and garlic
  • 165 g peeled and cleaned shrimp
  • 30 g Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1 lemon for serving

Instructions:

1. Select Bake, add the orzo and a dash of oil and roast until the orzo is golden brown. Add the herbs and roast for another 30 seconds.

2. Press Cancel to end the saute mode, then pour the water and tomato pasta sauce into the inner pot and stir to combine.

3. Pressure Cook for 0 minutes, then allow natural pressure to release for 4 minutes.

4. Remove the pressure-cooking lid and stir the orzo. It will be quite al dente at this point, but will continue to cook in the residual heat.

5. Add the peas and shrimp to the hot orzo and stir until all the shrimp are submerged. Place the lid on the Instant Pot and let the shrimp cook in the residual heat for 4-5 minutes until they are done.

6. Stir the Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley through the orzo.

7. Divide among the bowls and serve with a slice of lemon.
