Servings: 4
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 25–40 minutes
Total Time: 30–45 minutes
Appliance: Instant Pot muticooker (optional finish: BBQ or air fryer)

Ingredients

  • 130 g tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp chipotle paste
  • 60 ml water
  • 85 ml honey
  • 70 ml light soy sauce
  • 2 kg pork ribs

Preparation Method

Make the marinade
In a bowl, mix together the tomato sauce, chipotle paste, water, honey, and soy sauce to create a sticky, smoky marinade. Toss the pork ribs in the mixture until evenly coated.

Pressure cook the ribs
Transfer the ribs and marinade into the Instant Pot inner pot. Secure the lid and select Pressure Cook for 25 minutes. Let the Instant Pot do the work while you prep the grill or relax.
Once the cooking program ends, perform a quick pressure release.

Finish on the grill or air fryer
For extra flavour and texture, finish the ribs on a BBQ or using the Air Fryer Grill function. Grill until the edges are lightly charred and the surface is caramelised.

Serve
Serve the ribs hot, with buttery jacket potatoes and a simple green salad for balance. These ribs are sticky, tender, and loaded with smoky-sweet flavour — all with just five ingredients.
