Here's how to pack an Instant Pot for transport

It is essential that the product is adequately packaged for shipping. In the event of negligence in complying with packaging instructions, the sender is legally liable for any transport damage, even if the other party has provided the shipping label, in accordance with Civil Code Art. 6:74, 6:162, and 7:18.

Please note: your liability lapses when the carrier has caused the damage. Such damage and cause is usually clearly visible as damage to the shipping box. We strongly recommend that you take photos and videos of your package before shipping to demonstrate that it has been properly packaged in accordance with the instructions below.

Packaging instructions

Preferably use the original packaging and special filling forms.   This packaging is designed to minimize shipping damage.

Original packaging used? We will solve it faster!
If you used the original packaging, including the special fillings on the top and bottom, we promise that it will be resolved for you faster. In that case, in the event of transport damage, we will submit the claim to the carrier and process it further. However, the risk of damage is minimal when you use the original packaging and filling.

No original packaging kept?

Then follow these instructions:

  1. Remove all accessories and loose parts, such as the inner pot, steam rack and measuring cup, and place them in the inner pot of the device.
  2. Replace the lid and tighten it as you would when using the appliance.
  3. Wrap the Instant Pot in a protective layer, such as bubble wrap or foam wrap, to prevent scratches and dents.
  4. Place the Instant Pot securely in a box large enough to add extra protective material all around.
  5. Fill the empty space around the Instant Pot with protective material, such as folded newspaper, air pockets, or foam pads, to minimize movement during shipping.
  6. Make sure the box is tightly closed and sealed with tape to prevent the Instant Pot from slipping out of its packaging during shipping.
  7. Clearly affix a label to the top of the box stating " FRAGILE " to alert the carrier to the fragility of the package.
